AI data policy

What is sent to AI services

When a feature needs an AI service, MaiSay's server can send it what you write or paste, your spoken answers, a photo or study-set cover you upload, a word you add that MaiSay has no recording of yet, and your name to make your Chinese name: the name you type, or the name from your sign-in account.

What is not sent

Your email and which account it came from are not sent with them. Your name is sent only to make your Chinese name.

Who receives it

These AI service providers: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, MiniMax and ElevenLabs. Which provider handles a request can change.

Review by MaiSay's team

MaiSay's team also uses AI tools from these providers to review problems and improve the product, and records read this way can be linked to your account.

Your recordings

MaiSay keeps your recordings for as long as you have the account. The Privacy Policy says what is kept with them and what deleting the account removes.

Accepting this policy

Using MaiSay means accepting this policy. If you do not agree, do not use MaiSay; you can delete your account in Settings › Your data.

Changes to this policy

A material change raises the version of this document, and MaiSay asks you to accept the new one. Smaller edits update this page and its date.
